About Walnut Hill Cemetery

Located in the heart of Odon, Indiana, Walnut Hill Cemetery has served as a peaceful and dignified final resting place for our community’s loved ones since 1848 when Thomas Boyd donated the ground for Sarah Boyd (his daughter) to be laid to rest. We believe that every life lived deserves to be honored, and every family deserves a quiet, beautiful space to reflect and remember.

Our Mission
Our mission is simple: to provide a meticulously maintained, serene environment for eternal rest, and to preserve the rich history of the individuals who built our community.

Preserving History Through Digital Records 🌳
We understand that honoring a legacy goes beyond the physical grounds. That is why we are dedicated to modernizing our archives. Through our online database, families, friends, and genealogists can easily search for burial records, read archived obituaries, and generate direct GPS navigation to specific gravesites. We are proud to make this history accessible to everyone, whether you live right here in Daviess County or are visiting from across the country.

Dedicated Care and Community Partnerships 🤝
The upkeep of Walnut Hill Cemetery is a continuous commitment. We take immense pride in the perpetual maintenance of our lawns, pathways, and memorial sites.

To ensure families experience a seamless and fully supported transition during their time of need, we work hand-in-hand with trusted local funeral homes. From the initial funeral services and graveside coordination to the lifelong care of the cemetery yards, we act as a unified team to take care of your loved ones.

Here For You 🕊️
Whether you are actively planning arrangements, researching family genealogy, or simply visiting the grounds to pay your respects, Walnut Hill Cemetery is here to support you.

If you have questions regarding plot availability, cemetery guidelines, or need assistance locating a specific record, please do not hesitate to reach out to our administrative team.
