Obituary
Debra Vaught, 63, of Odon, Indiana, passed away, with family by her side, at Ketcham Memorial Center, on Sunday, October 26, 2025. She was born on January 27, 1962, in Terre Haute, Indiana, to Ray and Shirley (Deal) Daywalt. Debra married the love of her life, Douglas Vaught, on May 28, 1982.
Debra was a member of the Odon First Christian Church. She worked for Ketcham Memorial Center handling social services, and for North Daviess Schools serving and caring for special needs students and their families for 15 years. Outside of work, Debra loved to crochet and spend time with her family.
Family left to cherish the memory of Debra include: her parents, Ray and Shirley Daywalt, her husband, Douglas Vaught; sons, Ryan (Kim) Vaught, Jordan Vaught; Grandchildren, Carmen, Nellie, Benjamin, Aubrey, Kali, Charlotte, and; brother, Matt (Alexis) Daywalt, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Debra was preceded in death by her grandparents, Charles and Mollie Deal, and Albert and Grace Daywalt.
Funeral Services to honor the life of Debra will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 31, 2025 at the Odon Christian Church with Micah Stephens officiating. Debra will be laid to rest in Walnut Hill Cemetery.
Friends and family may call from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, October 30, at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Ketcham Memorial Center in Odon. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
